The World's Most Expensive Wine

Well, you must have heard of the legendary Hennessey, Moet et Chandon and even the exquisite Bacardi that goes for thousands of dollars. However, none of those rapper-clutching liquor come close to the Penfolds Block 42 Kalimna Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 wine (what a name!).

 Made in Australia, it is incredibly rare and the glass ampoule in which it is contained was hand-blown and set in a hand-crafted cabinet made of wood. But it is the price that is really the killer here: a thunderous $168,000!!! Okay, to look at like a Nigerian, that means N28 million naira! Well, the monthly take home pay of the Nigerian senator is said to be around $100,000 (N16 million). So, even for those agbada thieves in Abuja, this wine no be shere shere. 

By the way, it is so rare that just 12 of it has been made. And when you buy it, the chief winemaker of Penfolds himself will fly down to anywhere you are in the world to specially and personally deliver it to you, Chineke!!! Okay, when he arrives, the stemware will be thoroughly polished and will be opened in a ceremony (all this feferity on top wine?) 

While removing it from its glass-plumb bobcasing, a specially-designed scribesnap made of sterling silver and tipped with tungsten will be used. The wine itself will be prepared using the an ornamental sterling silver tastevin. Wait a minute o, how paradise go come be? 

The wine is made from 130-year-old vines from the Barossa wine valley in Australia. It is produced in very little amounts and is very rare indeed. Na wa o! One glass ampoule contains 750ml of the wine (Chineke! It is not even up to one liter????) Which kain food will this one be eaten with? Na wa o, as in real waaaaaaaa!

Well, if you are an African billionaire in Africa, forget buying the wine sha. Ogini? Just 12 were made: one for the company's library, one is to be auctioned off for charity and 10 will be sold. Out of these 10, two will be sold in North America, two in Europe, three in Asia and three in Australia and New Zealand. Hmmnn. 

The wine is said to be dense in colour and is of deep blackcurrant, dark chocolate, fine tannins, liquorice fragrances and other flavours. This world is something else! Some people are masters of pleasure! It was unveiled at a special ceremony in Moscow, Russia. Ideal location, I must say! It is sold to you directly by the winery and you can't just walk into a shop and buy it. Class, taste and the ultimate swagger!
