President Jonathan Storms Kaduna In Style, Commissions Bulletproof Vest Factory

President Goodluck Jonathan looked very smart and trendy today in Kaduna in his full army uniform (I have searched heaven and hell for our President in the Nigerian Army uniform!). He was in the northern city today to commission the bullet-proof vest production factory at the Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), he also paid a visit to the military city of Jaji. Check out the pictures below:

The President emerges from an armoured vehicle after a test driving in Jaji, Kaduna State. The Armoured Personnel Carrier is called the 'IGIRIGI APC' which was newly-commissioned. The APC was made by the Nigerian Army Engineering Corps.

And it is time to cut the tape. Holding the tape (the man in hat and Ijaw dressing to the right of the President in glasses is Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State), to the President's left in dark goggles is the Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada who is also the former Deputy Governor of Osun State (under Olagunsoye Oyinlola).

IIbon aye! The project is a public-private partnership (PPP) between DICON and MAROM-DOLPHIN Nigeria Limited which will now be producing bulletproof vests and other materials for the military and other agencies. MAROM-Dolphin is an Israeli company.

Inside the factory. Why is it that only the President and Governor are covering their noses and others are not, and what is that thing the President is holding? Curious!
