The World's Most Expensive Bed

Sold for an incredible £4 million or almost $6.35 million

(that's over ONE BILLION NAIRA!), the Baldacchino

Supreme is one bed of bliss.

 The Baldacchino Supreme

The most exclusive and the most

expensive bed on the planet, it is made as a result of the joint

effort between Stuart Hughes of the United Kingdom and

 Nocera Superiore of Italy.

The canopy alone is 107 kg of 24-

carat solid gold, with the decorations also done in gold leaf.

As you might of expected of this kingly bed, it is made

entirely of chestnut wood while the curvings is of ashwood.

Silk from Italy is used for the fabric while the headboard is

studded with diamonds. By the way, just TWO of this

amazing bed was made, and all decorations are hand-made.

Wanna buy one? I actually visited the website where it is

sold and attempted to buy one and discovered that one has

been bought already, remaining just one.

The first one was made in three months and was picked up

by a businessman from Italy. What a world, some are

complaining of economic meltdown while others are sleeping

in billion-naira beds. It reminds me of that man like that

who spends one billion naira on food, maybe he will buy the

remaining one billion-naira bed. Abi na?
